GRACE D. TAYLOR
Grace D. Taylor, 82, of Sunol, Nebraska, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan, CO.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the New Heart Fellowship Church with Pastor Pete Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Chappell Cemetery. Friends may stop or visit at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday from 1-7:00 P.M. Family will be present from 4-6:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in Grace’s name to SRMC Hospice in Sidney. Grace Darlene Taylor was born October 19, 1936, in Sedgwick, CO to Carl and Eleanor (Cannady) Williams. She attended school in Ovid, CO where she met the love of her life, Frank Taylor. They were married on June 13, 1953. To this union they added six children: Elizabeth “Jayne”, Debbie, Steve, Mike, Tim and Lisa. Grace spent her days raising her children and helping Frank on their farms in the Chappell/Sunol area. When her children were grown, she entered the workforce. She worked at Duckwall’s Alco until they closed, Walmart for a short while, and then joined American National Bank where she worked until her retirement this past April. Grace enjoyed quilting, reading, going to movies and traveling. She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween. She enjoyed making costumes for the kids and dressing up. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grace is survived by her children: Debbie (Mike) Seykora of Sioux Falls, SD; Steve (Melissa) Taylor of Fort Morgan, CO; Mike Taylor of Sunol, NE; and Lisa (Steve) Brunick of Sioux Falls, SD; (12) grandchildren; (13) great-grandchildren; her special sisters: Phyllis Sauer of Ogallala, NE and Donna Sandquist of Julesburg, CO; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Glennis) Taylor of Stone Mountain, GA; Keith (Carolyn) Taylor of Brighton, CO; Leon Taylor, and sister-in-law, Sharon Taylor of Yakima, WA and numerous extended family members and friends.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; daughter, Jayne From; son, Tim Taylor; grandson, Jeremy Ramirez; brother, Robert Williams as well as many other relatives.
